African Leadership Program
Program Overview
“EWB believes that leadership development is the cornerstone to organizational effectiveness, and thereby aid effectiveness in Africa.”
EWB aims to create a forum of greater collaboration between Southern and Northern hemispheres by inviting African Delegates from 4 countries (Burkina Faso, Ghana, Zambia and Malawi) to a leadership experience in Canada.
They will come together in a focused and stimulating environment surrounded by high-capacity leaders from throughout Canada and Africa. They will be able to strengthen their leadership capabilities through knowledge sharing and study opportunities combined with the creation of meaningful relationships between African and Canadian leaders. This program involved participation at the conference, specialized Leadership trainings and work placements within Canadian organizations.
Last year, this program had 18 participants selected to represent Local Government, Water and Sanitation, and Agriculture Sectors in which EWBs main work is focused.
This year we are looking for companies, organizations or individuals to “Sponsor a Leader” to help offset the costs of bringing these Leaders to Canada.
